Privacy Policy

Last Updated: March 26, 2026

At Cashluom, we believe your financial data belongs to you — and only you. This Privacy Policy explains, in plain language, exactly how we handle information when you use our Reverse Sales Tax Calculator and other tools at reversetax.cashluom.online. We have written this to be genuinely readable, not buried in legal jargon you would skim past.

The Short Version

We do not collect, store, or transmit the financial numbers you type into our calculator. Everything runs in your browser. We use Google Analytics for anonymized site traffic statistics. That is essentially it.

1. Information We Do NOT Collect

Let's start with the most important part. Our tools are designed around a principle we take seriously: client-side processing. That means every calculation you perform happens entirely in the JavaScript running on your own device. Nothing crosses the wire to us.

Here is a specific list of data we never collect, store, or have access to:

  • The total price or receipt amount you enter into the calculator
  • The tax rate you select or type in
  • The calculated pre-tax price or tax amount
  • Any line items you add in multi-item (invoice) mode
  • Your client name, invoice date, or receipt numbers entered in the export feature
  • Any files you export (CSV, Excel, or PDF) — those are generated in your browser and downloaded directly to your device
  • Your name, email, phone number, or any personal identifier (unless you voluntarily provide it through the Contact form)
  • Your income, tax filing status, or any sensitive financial information

We have no server-side database storing user calculations. There is no account system, no login, no sign-up. You open the page, use the tool, and leave. We are genuinely unable to see what you type because the data never reaches us in the first place.

2. Information We Do Collect

We do collect a limited amount of non-personal, anonymized data to understand how people use the site so we can make it better. Here is exactly what that includes:

a) Analytics Data (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to track general traffic patterns. The data collected by GA4 includes:

  • Page views: Which pages are visited and how often
  • Session duration: Roughly how long people spend on the site
  • Traffic source: Whether visitors came from a search engine, a direct link, or social media
  • Device and browser type: Such as "Chrome on Windows" or "Safari on iPhone" — this helps us optimize for popular devices
  • Geographic region: A general location like "United States" or "Texas" — not your street address or precise location
  • Screen resolution: Helps us ensure the calculator layout works across different screen sizes

Google Analytics does not collect any data that you type into the calculator inputs. It tracks page-level interactions (like clicking buttons or scrolling), not form field contents.

You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, available for all major browsers.

b) Server Log Files

Like virtually every website on the internet, our hosting provider (Hostinger) keeps standard server logs. These are automatically generated and include:

  • Your IP address (anonymized in our analytics setup)
  • The date and time of your visit
  • The pages you requested
  • Your browser's user-agent string (e.g., "Mozilla/5.0 Chrome/122...")
  • The referring URL (the page that linked you here, if any)

These logs are used for security monitoring (detecting attacks or unusual traffic patterns) and basic server administration. They are not tied to any personally identifiable information, and we do not manually review them unless investigating a potential security issue.

c) Contact Form Submissions

If you choose to reach out through our Contact page, you voluntarily provide us with your name and email address. We use this information only to respond to your inquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list, sell your contact information, or share it with third parties. Once your question is resolved, we do not retain your email for marketing purposes.

3. Cookies and Local Storage

We use cookies and your browser's Local Storage in limited, transparent ways:

What Purpose Duration Who Sets It
GA4 cookies (_ga, _ga_*) Distinguish unique visitors for traffic counting Up to 2 years Google Analytics
Saved tax rate (Local Storage) Remembers your default state/county/city tax rate if you check "Remember my settings" Until you clear it or uncheck Our calculator (your browser only)
Calculation history (Local Storage) Stores your last 6 single-item calculations so you can re-use them Until you clear history Our calculator (your browser only)

Local Storage data never leaves your browser. We cannot read it. It stays on your device and is managed entirely by the JavaScript running in your browser tab. If you want to clear it, simply click "Clear History" on the calculator page, or clear your browser data through your browser settings.

4. How We Protect Your Information

The most effective protection is not collecting data in the first place — which is our primary strategy. Beyond that:

  • Our website is served over HTTPS (SSL/TLS encryption), meaning all data transferred between your browser and our server is encrypted in transit
  • We do not store any user-submitted financial data on our servers — there is nothing to breach
  • Our hosting environment is maintained by Hostinger with standard security practices including firewalls and regular patching

That said, no internet transmission is ever 100% guaranteed secure. While we have taken every reasonable measure to protect the limited data we do handle, we cannot provide an absolute guarantee of security for data transmitted over the internet.

5. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not designed for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data (for example, through the Contact form), please let us know and we will promptly remove it.

6. Third-Party Services

We integrate with a small number of third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy that governs how they handle your data:

We do not share any data with any other third party. We do not sell data, period.

7. Your Rights

Since we collect minimal data, there is not much to manage — but here is what you can do:

  • Opt out of analytics: Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on
  • Clear saved preferences: Click "Clear History" on the calculator, or clear your browser's Local Storage
  • Block cookies: Adjust your browser's cookie settings to block third-party cookies
  • Request data deletion: If you have contacted us through the Contact form and want your message deleted, email us and we will remove it

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

If we make changes to this policy, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top. We encourage you to review this page from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of those changes.

9. Contact Us

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy — or just want to know more about how we handle data — please reach out through our Contact page. We answer every message personally, usually within 24 to 48 hours.
